Visitor Pod makes a difference at The Chase

The Chase care centre in Watford, which provides residential support and nursing care to up to 110 people, is delighted to support visits in a special garden ‘visiting pod’, which helps residents maintain contact with loved-ones.

The purpose-built wooden cabin is situated in the communal garden at the home, and provides a space for relatives to visit residents whilst Covid-19 continues to pose a risk across the country.

The temporary garden ‘pod’ structure is equipped with a Perspex screen to separate visitors from residents and an intercom to make communicating easy. The room is also equipped with heating when required, insulation and nurse call buttons, for added comfort.

Ruta Starkute-Nahani, manager of The Chase said; “The garden-based visiting pod creates a real asset for our home. It offers a wonderful opportunity for our residents to see loved-ones, in a safe way.”

Relatives are advised to contact the manager to make an appointment for the visiting pod.

The Chase is based on Printers Avenue in Watford.  For more information call 01923 232307.
