Healthcare Homes has recently received remarkable donations from Future Projects Charity, led by Rumana Johnson, the Operations Manager. The charitable initiative aimed to extend a helping hand by donating surplus frozen turkeys from recent Food Hamper contributions to Healthcare Homes’ care homes and service providers in the Norfolk area, all provided completely free of charge.
Gratefully acknowledging this heartfelt gesture, Healthcare Homes warmly welcomed the donations at three locations: Olive House, Saxlingham Hall, and the Manorcourt Norwich branch. What initially began as a donation of 10 large frozen turkeys expanded significantly to include an additional 16 large frozen chickens and the equivalent of 5 car loads filled with Christmas hampers.

This considerable contribution, orchestrated by Ms. Johnson and her committed team of volunteers, is poised to leave a lasting impact on the residents of Healthcare Homes’ care facilities and service users in the Norfolk area. The Christmas hampers, meticulously curated with fresh fruits, vegetables, toiletries, daily essentials, long-life tins, cupboard items, and festive meal essentials, will be put to use in planned events, dinners, and for the overall delight of the cherished residents and beloved service users in the foreseeable future.
These collaborative initiatives exemplify the positive outcomes that arise when organisations unite to support one another. Healthcare Homes expresses profound appreciation to Future Projects Charity for their generosity and unwavering commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those in Norfolk. This shared commitment aligns seamlessly with Healthcare Homes’ mission to cultivate a nurturing and compassionate environment for all individuals benefiting from their services.

Norfolk Christmas Hampers is a campaign set up by Future Projects Charity for local individuals and families in need. This year (2023), hampers went to 302 households, with 821 people benefitting (496 adults and 325 children). In total, with the help of a small army of volunteers, Future Projects distributed £10,020 worth of food and essentials to local families in need in 2023.
Each Hamper is packed full of fresh fruit and vegetables, toiletries, daily essentials, long-life tins and cupboard items, as well as everything needed for a Christmas meal and wrapped presents for children. Hamper recipients are those in the most severe circumstances. Households which have to make impossible choices on a daily basis, such as whether to turn the heating on or provide food for their children.
