Naz is named as a hero at The Chase

Healthcare Homes colleagues were delighted to get together at a company conference and awards last week to recognize staff and teams who work throughout our family of 48 homes and 11 homecare branches.

And whilst it was recognized that every health and social care employee is undoubtedly a hero, and every Healthcare Homes team was awarded an Inspirational Team of the Year Award, managers had also been asked to recommend individuals for the Hero Awards 2022.

Naz Maanikhah is the lead activity organizer at The Chase and was nominated for a Hero Award.

Throughout the pandemic she has shown exceptional leadership qualities, inspiring and supporting her colleagues, as well as building strong relationships with our residents. During times of lockdown she has been critical in ensuring that our residents remained happy, felt safe and their wants and needs were met, as well as ensuring that any special events were recognized in style!

Naz will step in to whatever role is needed, and has been an absolute role model for all other team members.

She is described as being larger than life, has the biggest smile and is the best example of hard work, dedication and professionalism.

Gordon Cochrane, chief executive officer, told the audience, “ I’m delighted to say that we were inundated with nominations for people that managers wanted to be recognized as absolute stars, the backbones of our homes and branches, the heroes we simply cannot do without and Naz is one of those heroes.”
