A remarkable journey

This year, as part of MS Week, residents embarked on a remarkable journey. This venture measured to the distance of the home to the Peak District, covering a total distance of 141.9 miles on moto med bikes.

Despite the physical challenge, residents rallied together, offering words of encouragement and support, embodying the spirit of camaraderie and determination. In an impressive feat, they completed the ride in just 4.5 hours, demonstrating their resilience and commitment to the cause.

Dedicated to their residents

Established nearly 35 years ago specifically for residents with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), the home remains steadfast in its dedication to supporting initiatives like the MS Week bike ride. Many of the residents have a personal connection to the condition, making their involvement in the event all the more meaningful.

Beyond its role as a care home, Meadow House is an integral part of the local community, fostering connections and solidarity. The home extends its gratitude to local businesses for their generous support, contributing raffle prizes to aid fundraising efforts.

Show your support

Throughout MS Week, Meadow House has been a hub of activity, with a flurry of events planned to raise awareness and funds for the MS Trust. Whilst donations are still coming into the home, we fully encourage anyone with the desire to donate to call the home at 01760 725146
