High praise for Toft’s Home Meadow care home

Home Meadow residential home in Toft, Cambridgeshire, has received high praise from the public, achieving an almost perfect score based on feedback on independent review site carehome.co.uk.

The site provides rankings for care homes across the country based on feedback from care home residents and their relatives, giving them a ranking out of 10 based on the reviews they have received.  Home Meadow is now rated as an impressive 9.5 out of 10.

Home Meadow is part of the Healthcare Homes Group and provides dedicated residential care for up to 49 people with a range of needs, including dementia.

The home’s team of staff works to provide bespoke, person-centred care for residents, and during the Coronavirus pandemic, has been going above and beyond to help keep residents happy and engaged.  Activities during the summer have included a Hawaiian-themed day, teaching residents dancing games from the TikTok app, and making bird boxes for everyone to enjoy in the gardens.

A recent review states: “I cannot praise this care home enough! My Nan has been a resident here for a couple of years now. The staff take the time to get to know each resident and make sure they do their absolute best to offer care and enriching activities to meet her individual needs. A thousand star rating wouldn’t be enough for Home Meadow.

Another review reads: “The home suits Mum perfectly… Mum always tells me she has enjoyed the meals and always speaks highly of the staff. There are two lounges that Mum uses and in the warmer weather, she loves to sit in the sheltered courtyard reading her newspapers that are delivered daily from the local village store. On a personal level, I feel lucky that my mother has a place here at Home Meadow.”

Home Manager Laura Adams said: “We’re thrilled to have consistently received such positive feedback from residents, their relatives and their loved ones on carehome.co.uk.  This is such a clear, honest and objective reflection of the work we’re doing, so reading such wonderful comments means an awful lot to us. “On behalf of my entire team I’d like to thank everyone who has submitted feedback. We’ll continue to keep working to provide the very best possible care to everyone who lives here.”

Home Meadow is based on Comberton Road in Toft.  For more information call 01223 263282.
