Come and visit us during Care Home Open Week

At Healthcare Homes we love to welcome visitors to our homes and there is no better time to come and meet us than during Care Home Open Week which will be taking place from 26th June – July 2nd.

Care Home Open Week • Championing Social Care is a showcase of thousands of care homes across the country exhibiting their impressive facilities, exciting activities, and the diverse career paths they offer.

Some of the exciting events and activities at our homes during Care Home Open Week include open days, musical get-togethers, cheese and wine tasters and a visit from the local Member of Parliament.

Healthcare Homes Chief Executive Gordon Cochrane said, “Care Home Open Week is the perfect opportunity for people to come and visit our care home in their local community, to find out how we operate and support people who need care and their families. It can also be a great opportunity for people who may want to work in care to come and have a look at our team in action and discuss any opportunities there may be.”

At Healthcare Homes our 48 care homes across the south and east of the UK provide residential, respite and dementia care as well as palliative and specialist care services. Healthcare Homes is one of the UK’s leading care providers, currently celebrating eight consecutive years as one of independent review site carehome.co.uk Top 20 Award winners.

Last year, Care Home Open Week was a major success with 2410 care homes across the country taking part. The success of the initiative also led to a significant increase in engagement between care homes and the local community which was reported by 65% of participating care homes.
