Bedhampton Court recently embraced the spirit of giving during their Harvest Festival, held on the 4th of October. The team and families of residents were invited to contribute to this wonderful event by donating essential items. The aim was to not only celebrate the harvest but also to give back to the local community.
This year, the residents selected two deserving local food banks to support – Munch at Park Community School and The Beacon in Havant town centre. One of the residents, who has a personal connection to The Beacon from their time volunteering there, was especially proud to be involved in this initiative.
Thanks to the generosity of everyone who contributed, a wide variety of goods was gathered, including food and household essentials like washing powder and personal care products. The donations have been incredibly well-received, and both food banks were touched by the kindness shown.
We cannot express enough gratitude to our team and the relatives of our residents for their wonderful contributions. This collaborative effort has made a real difference to those in need, and it’s a testament to the strong community spirit at Bedhampton Care Home. Thank you to everyone who helped make this Harvest Festival such a special occasion.
