Deputy manager fell in love with the rural location of Barking Hall

Congratulations to Julie Cansdale, deputy manager at Barking Hall in Suffolk, who has received her five year long service award.

Julie, who has been a registered nurse for more than 20 years, heads the nurse team at the Barking home and has been deputy manager for the past year.

“It’s a wonderful place to work,” said Julie. “I fell in love with the location as soon as I came to visit – where else can you hear the church bells and see the horses in the field every morning before work?

“I work with a great team – they are very welcoming and easy to work with.”

Barking Hall nursing home is surrounded by stunning scenery and gardens. Once part of the stables of a much larger estate, it is beautifully tranquil, set on the edge of the hamlet of Barking next to the busier town of Needham Market.

The home is part of the Healthcare Homes family of 48 care homes and 11 home care branches. It is rated Good overall by the Care Quality Commission. Healthcare Homes has been named as one of the Top 20 care home providers in the UK by independent review website carehome.co.uk

The Top 20 features the companies who are the most highly rated by the people receiving care, their friends and families. Healthcare Homes is extremely proud of its track record having featured in the awards every year since 2016. Barking Hall has a 9.5 out of 10 score with carehome.co.uk
