Elves are spotted at our homes on Elf Day

Teams across our family of 48 homes were pulling out the stripey tights and pointed hats to dress up as elves today and raise awareness of Alzheimer’s disease.

And, of course, there was lots of fun to be had, residents to be entertained as well as funds raised in the process.

The team above at Uvedale Hall in Needham Market, Suffolk carried out a full ‘elf and safety’ inspection while the elves at St Leonard’s Court, in Mundford, Norfolk – pictured below – were busy counting the pennies and were delighted to have raised over £385 (and counting), for the Alzheimer’s Society.

The head elf said, “We’re especially proud of our colleagues Sonia Dye and Kayley Forder who between them alone raised £333 by getting themselves sponsored to Elf Up.”

Both homes are part of the Healthcare Homes family of 48 care homes and 11 home care branches. The company has recently been named in the Top 20 care home groups for the seventh year in a row by independent review website carehome.co.uk   Uvedale Hall has a 9.8 out of 10 score on carehome.co.uk and St Leonard’s Court a score of 8.8.
