Manorcourt Homecare in Hornchurch welcomes clients aged 102 and 101 for afternoon tea

Manorcourt Homecare Hornchurch Branch went red white and blue as clients were welcomed into the office for afternoon tea to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The branch was decorated with balloons and bunting as well as pictures showing the Queen at various stages during her 70 year reign which led to a lot of reminiscing about the royal family and the coronation in 1952.
Branch staff had worked hard to create afternoon tea for clients including sandwiches, scones with jam and cream and an array of homemade cakes. Many of the cakes had been donated by Tea Island in Hornchurch, one of Manorcourt Homecare’s neigbours.

Branch Manager Sarah Kendrick said it was a great opportunity to see some of the clients with those who visited including the branches oldest two ladies Gladys, aged 102, and Winnie who is 101.
“It was a lot of fun, I am not sure we have ever had so many people in the branch at one time but it was a great opportunity to see some of clients and to let them come and see our offices. It is definately something we will be doing again.”
