Healthcare Homes colleagues were delighted to get together at a company conference and awards last week to recognize staff and teams who work throughout our family of 48 homes and 11 homecare branches.
And whilst it was recognized that every health and social care employee is undoubtedly a hero, and every Healthcare Homes team was awarded an Inspirational Team of the Year Award, managers had also been asked to recommend individuals for the Hero Awards 2022.

Kellie Soanes, who works for the Norwich Branch of Manorcourt Homecare, was named as one of 24 individuals to receive a Hero Award. She is described as having been ‘exceptional throughout.’
Since the first lockdown, Kellie has remained totally reliable and has cancelled leave and days off to support the branch.
Kellie has her own health challenges, and on one particular day had to be taken to hospital in an emergency – she still insisted on being discharged to return to work the same day!
She is always passionate about providing the best possible care to our service users and has dealt with the challenges we have faced in the last two years.
Kellie is always there for her team and to have seen her blossom in to the person she is today is truly inspirational.
Gordon Cochrane, chief executive officer, told the audience, “ I’m delighted to say that we were inundated with nominations for people that managers wanted to be recognized as absolute stars, the backbones of our homes and branches, the heroes we simply cannot do without and Kellie is one of those heroes.”
