Every health and social care worker is undoubtedly a hero and the teams who work at every Healthcare Homes home and homecare branch were recognized with an Inspirational Team Award at the company conference and awards event.
Gordon Cochrane, chief executive officer, told the audience, “Given everything that everybody who works for Healthcare Homes across our 48 homes and 11 homecare branches has been through it has simply been impossible to pick out any one home or branch that deserves an Inspirational Team Award more than any other.
“I have constantly sung the praises of my operational, clinical governance and HR colleagues throughout the pandemic and I continue to tip my hat to them now.

“While the last two years have been complex, challenging and frustrating at times it is truly remarkable what all of our teams have managed to achieve – always putting the health and wellbeing of our residents and service users first and always providing quality care and support to them as well as to their families and friends.
“Everyone has been amazing and so the Executive Team has chosen to recognize every home and branch with an award.”
There was also an Inspirational Team Award for the support office, Apex at Colchester, which houses the recruitment, human resources, sales and marketing, finance and payroll teams.
Whilst the contribution of every employee was acknowledged, managers had also been asked to recommend individuals for the Hero Awards 2022 and 24 Healthcare Homes heroes were recognized. A Lifetime Achievement Award was also given to Janice King, who has recently retired after working in social care for 30 years.
Healthcare Homes is grateful for the support of all of our awards sponsors – 1st Waste Management, Bidfood, Birkett Long Solicitors, Blueleaf, Brazier Property Services, Britton Price, Call Maintenance Ltd, Cater-Tech Norwich, Firesite (Eastern) Ltd, Furncare, GRI, Marr Procurement, Medex Learning, Stannah, Workplace IT, Workwear Online, Northern Gas and Power, and Oliver Raine.
