A hand-drawn portrait of a couple living in Sovereign Lodge care home in Eastbourne has been shared by a YOPEY Befriender located in Mansfield.
Tony Gearing from the YOPEY Dementia Befriending charity kindly shared the drawing, which he called ‘Long Distanced Portraiture in Pandemic’, confirming that a woman in her 20s on a Princes Trust scheme created the drawing.
Captured from a photograph, the drawing has been shared with the home for both residents to enjoy.
As Tony commented: “Truly #intergenerational interaction can overcome #covid isolation.”
Thank you to YOPEY Befrienders for all that you do to reach-out to residents living in our homes. For more information, visit: https://www.facebook.com/YOPEYcharity.
