Fun and laughs on National Teddy Bear Day

A number of residents and staff have enjoyed some ‘cuddly’ fun with the celebration of National Teddy Bear Day.

At Alexandra in Hemel Hempstead, residents took part in ‘guess the teddy’s name’, enjoying a cuddle and sharing their memories of their favourite teddies from years gone by. Residents enjoyed a cuddle and taking part, and the two winners were very happy with their boxes of Quality Street.

At The Hillings, some of the team dressed up in their pyjamas and brought their favourite teddy to work. Residents shared many laughs watching the staff working in their pyjamas throughout the day.

At Mill Lane Nursing Home in Felixstowe, residents enjoyed a trivia quiz all about teddy bears. Dot was the overall winner and received a nice box of smellies. Everyone also had a little cuddle with a collection of bears brought in by Emma and they showed off their creative flare with some teddy bear colouring.

At The Chase in Watford an adoption centre was set up for all the teddy bears that don’t have anyone to look after them. It was a big hit with everyone, and residents were so happy to adopt their favourite teddy bears. All bears now have a home and someone to look after them.

Well done to all!

The Hillings is based on Grenville Way in Eaton Socon, Alexandra is based on Alexandra Road in Hemel Hempstead, Mill Lane is based on the corner of Mill Lane and Garrison Lane in Felixstowe and the Chase is based on Printers Avenue in Watford.
