Healthcare Homes Live-in Care is proud to announce that Nick, one of their service users, has become the new face of Mencap. Nick, who has Autism and ADHD, receives 98 hours of support each week from our Live-in service, enabling him to participate actively in the community.

Reflecting values
Nick’s inclusion as the face of Mencap has brought immense joy and pride to him and those who support him. His image now features in every Mencap shop window across the UK, making him a national symbol of the charity’s mission and values. Nick works at Mencap once a week, supported by his dedicated support worker, Maria.
A warm reception
“We are incredibly proud of Nick’s achievement,” said Sarah Waring, Live-in Care Manager. “Seeing him thrive and become a prominent representative for Mencap is truly inspiring. His dedication and the support he receives from Maria and the rest of our team has made this possible.” Nick expressed his excitement about the opportunity: “I’m excited to be the face of Mencap. It’s amazing to see my picture in shops across the country.”
Maria, who supports Nick during his work at Mencap, added, “Working with Nick has been a rewarding experience. His enthusiasm and commitment are infectious, and it’s wonderful to see him recognised in this way.”
Inclusion and representation
Mencap is a leading charity that supports people with learning disabilities, and having Nick as their new face underscores the importance of inclusion and representation.
