Canine capers at Foxearth Lodge dog show

Dogs of all shapes and sizes visited Foxearth Lodge in Saxtead for the annual dog show, to the delight of residents and visitors.

Former Crufts judge Peter Purves, who has a relative living at the Saxtead home, kept the pooches in order which was not an easy task as rain had moved the show indoors. Classes included Smiliest Face, Waggiest Tail, Best Tricks and the Dog Most Like Its Owner.

Foxearth Lodge Home Manager Roxanne Cutajar said, “We were delighted to have dogs at the home and our thanks to everyone who supported the event – it is a favourite with the residents. Our thanks particularly to Mr Purves for taking the time to judge the show for us.”

TV presenter and actor Peter Purves is best known to many as a Blue Peter presenter, he fronted the popular children’s programme for 11 years. He was also companion to the first Doctor Who and, in recent years, has regularly presented from Crufts dog show.
